When it comes to Jenny McCarthy's eclectic career, you have to ask yourself—what hasn't she accomplished?
   Jenny first burst onto our screens in the '90s as the co-host of MTV's popular dating show Singled Out, quickly becoming a household name. A former Playboy Playmate, she has juggled various roles over the years, including model, actress, comedian—even a co-host on ABC's The View—and starred in her own talk show.
   In addition to her on-screen career, Jenny has penned several parenting books, championed environmental causes, and become a strong advocate for alternative autism treatments.
   Her career has spanned decades for a reason—fans are drawn to her unfiltered honesty, warmth, and peppy energy. It's hard to resist her charm, quick wit, and undeniable star power.
   Jenny is married to singer-actor Donnie Wahlberg (of New Kids on the Block fame and star of CBS's Blue Bloods). The dynamic duo co-founded a production company together and are teaming up to co-host a true crime show set to debut soon. They're not just #CoupleGoals—they're a powerhouse pair with non-stop, impressive careers.
   Today, Jenny lights up the screen as an original panelist on FOX's mega-hit show The Masked Singer, now heading into its 13th season. Most recently, she added "beauty mogul" to her impressive résumé with the launch of her cosmetics line, Formless Beauty.
PHM spoke with Jenny about Formless Beauty, her commitment to skin-safe ingredients, and what keeps her moving' and groovin' after all these years.

Preferred Health Magazine: Who or what inspired you to launch Formless Beauty? Where did the name come from?
Jenny McCarthy: Formless Beauty was inspired by my personal health journey. Over the years, I faced countless struggles with allergies and sensitivities to beauty products, which left me questioning what was truly in the ingredients I was putting on my skin.
I wanted to create something I could trust—high-quality products that were as safe as they were effective.
   The name Formless Beauty was inspired by Eckhart Tolle's teachings, where he explains that beauty is formless and transcends physical appearance. It's a reminder that true beauty comes from within—it's limitless, beyond trends, and isn't confined to any single idea or definition.

PHM: You were very hands-on with Formless. What was your favorite part of the creation and launch process?
JM: I loved getting into the details, from testing formulas to designing the packaging. But my favorite part was working with chemists to perfect products that truly worked for people like me—those with sensitive skin who demand performance without compromise. Seeing it all come to life and knowing 
it could help others has been incredibly fulfilling.
 

PHM: Each product is named with an intention. Why was that important to you?
JM: Intention is everything to me. Naming each product with a positive, meaningful word is my way of reminding people to connect with their inner power and beauty. Words have energy, and I wanted each product to inspire confidence and positivity every time it's used.

PHM: Is Formless Beauty recommended for all ages, or just mature skin?
JM: Formless Beauty is for everyone! Whether you're a teen experimenting with makeup or someone with more mature skin looking for high-quality, safer products, our formulas are designed to work across ages and skin types. I've seen moms and daughters sharing our products, which is so heartwarming to me.

PHM: What ingredients go into making Formless Beauty?
JM: Our products are made with carefully chosen, safer ingredients that deliver results without the harsh chemicals often found in traditional cosmetics. We prioritize vegan, cruelty-free, and hypoallergenic formulas to ensure they're as kind to your skin as they are effective.

PHM: Do you wear Formless Beauty during Masked Singer tapings?
JM: Absolutely! I wear Formless Beauty during tapings, and it holds up beautifully under the lights and long filming days. It's the ultimate test of performance, and I'm so proud that it delivers every time.

PHM: What type of skin do you have, and how has your skin evolved over the years?
JM: I have sensitive, reactive skin that's prone to allergies, which has only become more challenging as I've gotten older. Over the years, I've learned to be much more mindful of what I put on my skin and into my body. That's why creating Formless Beauty was so personal to me—it's made to be gentle yet effective.

PHM: What surprised you the most about the cosmetics industry?
JM: How misleading some "clean" beauty claims can be! It shocked me to learn how many products are marketed as safe but still contain ingredients that can irritate sensitive skin. It made me even more determined to create something people can trust.

PHM: What's the most challenging—and the most rewarding—part of your job as a cosmetics entrepreneur?
JM: The most challenging part is balancing all the moving pieces—it's not just about creating great products, but also about running a business, connecting with customers, and staying innovative.
The most rewarding part is hearing from people who love the products and feel more confident because of them. That makes it all worth it.

PHM: Are there any current beauty trends or products you're particularly excited about?
JM: I'm loving the trend toward minimalist, natural-looking beauty. It aligns perfectly with Formless Beauty's philosophy—enhancing your natural features instead of covering them up. I'm also excited about expanding into products like eyeliners and foundations that keep this trend in mind.

PHM: What is your definition of confidence?
JM: Confidence is feeling good about who you are, exactly as you are. It's not about perfection; it's about owning your unique beauty and letting it shine. To me, confidence is when you're unapologetically yourself, and that's what I hope Formless Beauty inspires in everyone who uses it.
